This piece is a beautifully handmade Otomi is made with cotton and floating on an off white mount.

Bespoke framed in FSC accredited wood and painted in black. As with all our traditionally framed pieces, we frame as green as we can. This beautifully embroidered textile is carefully wrapped around a conservation board and floated on a conservation mount board. We don’t use glue or acid anywhere near the textile. There is a 1.5cm spacer so the piece sits back into the breathable fram.
The wooden frame is painted with a chemical free waterborne paint.
Provenance
Each of Loom’s beautiful Otomi pieces has been carefully designed and as with our other textiles, we aim to bring a more contemporary feel to a traditional art form. Each unique piece is delicately hand drawn and then hand embroidered with cotton thread on cotton or linen by skilled artisans.
Care
With all our frames use a soft cloth to remove any marks. We recommend a microfibre cloth for cleaning. Do not use anything abrasive.
